Community Programs

Reaching out to the Community

Cardinal Cushing Centers invites special needs individuals of all ages and developmental levels to participate in activities that facilitate friendship and promote self-esteem.

Programs are offered primarily on our Hanover and Braintree campuses, after school, in the evenings, on weekends, and during school vacations.

Programs for children between ages 10 and 22 are held during school vacations, evenings, and Saturdays. Activities vary from session to session, but include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Special Olympics, fitness, cooking, therapeutic rhythmic arts, yoga, social skills, dances, proms, and more. For additional information call Tom McElman at 781-829-1295.

Young athletes

Held on our Hanover campus, in conjunction with Special Olympics, children under age 8 with developmental disabilities have an opportunity to learn beginner sports skills through fun activities with family and peers. Please contact the Recreation Department at 781-829-1295.
