Residential Life Skills
We need energetic people to join our team in rewarding positions teaching life skills to adolescents with special needs. The focus is on assisting each student in developing effective decision making skills and promoting functional independence. A Massachusetts Driver’s license is required. Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required. We currently have very limited full-time and relief staff opportunities available:
A Shift – Sunday 8:30 am-8:30 pm, Monday 2-10, Tuesday 2-10,
Wednesday (alternate weeks) – 12:30-5 / 12:30-10
B Shift – Wednesday (alternate weeks) – 12:30-5 / 12:30-10, Thursday 2-10,
Friday 2-10, Saturday 8:30 am – 8:30 pm
Overnights –Full (3 nights per week) and part-time
Monday – Friday 9:30pm-9am
Saturday and Sunday – 8:00pm – 9am
Relief Pool Staff (Hanover) A program initiative that will create per diem direct support workers to perform in various programs on the Hanover campus.
Relief position starting rate of $13.00/hour
Direct Support Professions/DSP
The primary responsibility of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to assist people with disabilities to do all the things that we do each day in our lives. Primary emphases are on self-determination and community inclusion of persons with disabilities. Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outloook, and Excel required.
Relief – hours available for Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekend shifts.
Job Coaches- South Shore Industries (SSI)
The Job Coach assists individuals to secure jobs that meet their interests; supports individuals and works with employers for as long as necessary to assist individuals to be successful in accomplishing their work-related goals; and collaborates with employers to adapt existing jobs and create new jobs for people with disabilities. Bachelor’s degree preferred with a valid driver’s license required. Substantial experience providing direct services to people with disabilities, preference to persons with experience in supported and competitive employment and preference to persons who are bilingual. The following openings are available;
2 positons for Monday – Friday, 30 hours/week, 8:30am – 2:30pm
1:1 position for Monday – Friday, 18 hours/week, 3 days/week, 8:30am – 2:30pm
1 position for Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week
Instructor – Life Opportunities Unlimited (LOU) North/Braintree
Work in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team to provide support, evaluation, and treatment of individuals with intellectual disabilities in our Adult Day Habilitation Program. Each Instructor must have a High School diploma or equivalent and must have at least one year of experience working in a program with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Knowledge and understanding of principles of normalization, behavior management and human rights preferred. Valid MA Driver’s License required.

Vocational (Job) Specialist – St Coletta Day School Braintree
Designs and implements a comprehensive vocational service delivery model in the community which includes market analysis, vocational assessment, a continuum of job opportunities, natural employment setting supports and community transition services.
Teaches specific job skills, employment seeking skills and job related social skills that will facilitate the success of the individual in the community. Works with school staff and employers to help the student to develop career goals which are student-directed based on individual worker traits, interests and accommodations. Supervises all aspects of the student vocational placement, training and progression process using a variety of standards based situational assessments and progress monitoring. Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with young people with disabilities as a community-based job developer or vocational specialist. Drives students to off-campus locations. A valid driver’s license required.
Substitute Teachers – Education & Vocation Programs
Assesses, plans, provides and supervises a structured learning environment for each student’s academic, social and vocational growth. Bachelor’s degree required and Certification as Massachusetts Special Needs Teacher. Some experience working with special needs students
RN- School Health Center
Provides nursing care to sick students. Assesses student complaints, gives medications as ordered and handles specific responsibilities assigned. Provides support to parents and staff. Takes all concerns seriously and responds appropriately. Graduate of NLN approved school of nursing with a
current RN license required as well as a minimum of two years of medical/surgical nursing experience or similar school nurse experience. A valid driver’s license necessary.
1 position for 32 hours/week, evenings, days and weekends per needs of the department
Special Education Teachers/Braintree
Full time, 37.5hrs/week
Plans, prepares and teaches lessons and activities for intensive special needs students in accordance with the goals and objectives outlined in Student Individual Education Plans (IEPS). Bachelors necessary with a required MA Licensure in Moderate Disabilities (5-12) or Intensive Special Needs (k-12), Autism experience preferred.
Adult Residential Program DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Bachelor’s degree (a high school diploma may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree if the applicant has prior experience, education or training in paid or volunteer human services activities, is a person with disabilities, or is a family member of a person with disabilities). Valid driver’s license. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Becker House – An opening for Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 9:00pm
Bella Luna – An opening for 2:00pm, Tuesday – 9:00am, Wednesday, & Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
