Residential Director Adult Services

(Hanover)
Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, some evenings and weekend hours

The Residential Director manages all daily operations of the Department within Adult Services.  The primary nature of the work of the Residential Director involves: development of supports and services that meet the specific needs and desires of individuals who receive supports from the Department; assurance of primary emphases on self-determination and community inclusion; and initiative in the creation of new opportunities for individuals who receive supports from the Department.  Individual must have a Master’s degree in human sciences, business/management or a related field.  Five years of  related clinical work experience preferred may be substituted for the Master’s degree by persons who possess a Bachelor’s degree.  Required supervisory or managerial experience in the field of disabilities along with substantial experience in MAP, HCSIS and DDS QE.  Ability to use computer and software programs, including competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Survey Monkey, Constant Contact, Excel and adequacy in other Microsoft Office application as well as valid driver’s license.

Assistive Technology Specialist

(Hanover & Braintree)
Full Time, 40 hours/week

Provides diagnostic and therapeutic assistive technology support with students with /training/programming as needed with students/team members.  Reports to the Director of Therapy Services. Master’s degree in Assistive Technology/ in Education/Educational Specialist with consideration given to strong Master’s candidates with degrees in Speech/Language Pathology and specialized training in AT.    DESE Teacher certification as applicable, if SLP: ASHA certified: Certificate of Clinical Competence, or SLP: Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professionals Speech/Language  Pathology license preferred. Must have at least worked clinically with individuals with Intellectual impairments in
clinical positions and/or during graduate school.

Overnight Nurse

(Hanover)

32 hours/week, Wk. one – 11:00 PM-7:00 AM (Wednesday – Friday), 12:00PM-8:00PM (Tuesdays) Wk. two -11:00 PM-7:00 AM (Thursday-Saturday) 12:00 PM-8:00 PM (Tuesday) NOTE:  There is some flexibility on changing the Tuesday  12:00 PM – 8:00 PM shift to a different day of the week,

This position provides nursing care to sick students.  Assesses students complaints, gives medication as ordered and handles specific responsibilities as assigned. Candidate must have a minimum of two years of medical/surgical nursing experience, graduate of NLN approved school of nursing, current RN license and a valid driver’s license.  Computer skills in Microsoft, Word, Outlook and Excel required.

 

Residential Life Skills

(Hanover)

We need energetic people to join our team in rewarding positions teaching life skills to adolescents with special needs. The focus is on assisting each student in developing effective decision making skills and promoting functional independence. A Massachusetts Driver’s license is required.  Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.  We currently have very limited full-time and relief staff opportunities available:

A Shift – Sunday 8:30 am-8:30 pm, Monday 2-10, Tuesday 2-10,
Wednesday (alternate weeks) – 12:30-5 / 12:30-10

B Shift – Wednesday (alternate weeks) – 12:30-5 / 12:30-10, Thursday 2-10,
Friday 2-10, Saturday 8:30 am – 8:30 pm
Overnights –Full (3 nights per week) and part-time
Monday – Friday 9:30pm-9am
Saturday and Sunday – 8:00pm – 9am

Relief Pool Staff (Hanover) A program initiative that will create per diem direct support workers to perform in various programs on the Hanover campus.

Relief position starting rate of $13.00/hour

 

Receptionist

(Hanover)

3:00PM-6:00PM, 6-12 hours/wk., M-F (afternoons to be determined)

Receives and routes incoming telephone calls and greets and directs visitors.  Performs routine administrative tasks, some on an ongoing basis as well as some on request

High School diploma,  excellent verbal communication skills, pleasant, professional phone manner,  excellent organization skills,  excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently and to deal well with emergencies, ability to work well with a diversity of people and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word – Mandatory.

Direct Support Professions/DSP

The primary responsibility of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to assist people with disabilities to do all the things that we do each day in our lives.  Primary emphases are on self-determination and community inclusion of persons with disabilities.  Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outloook, and Excel required.

Relief – hours available for Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekend shifts.

Human Development Coordinator

(Hanover)

40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 1 evening per week

Coordinates the Human Development Program including ongoing training of staff who provide training
in school and residential settings. Monitors sexual incident reports, policy and procedure. Bachelor’s degree in clinical or health disciplines, Master’s preferred. Residential setting Minimum of two years’ experience in nursing, health education or human development, preferably in a clinical. Health Teaching Certification preferred. Computer skills in Microsoft, Word, Outlook and Excel required. Valid MA license and car required.

Shuttle Driver/SSI- Braintree

30 hours/week, Monday – Friday

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to ensure that the individuals are transported to worksites and back to the facility in a safe and timely manner. The position requires flexibility, organizational skills and all CCC required certifications. The position requires the employee to be available to assist in the facility when not on a route. Valid MA driver’s license and personal vehicle required.
Evidence of experience with persons with intellectual disabilities. Able to assist in lifting individuals and able to assist in physical intervention with an individual.
